Legal/Risk Management at The Ben Franklin House

Work was recently completed to consolidate fully the Legal, Risk Management, Compliance, and Claims organizations for the enterprise in this one locations at The Ben Franklin House.

TJUH Off Campus-Fairmount-Rodin Urgent Care Center

This multi-disciplinary practice, including Ob-Gyn, Primary Care, and PT/OT began seeing patients in the fall of 2017 while other work continued regarding exterior branding/signage.

Navy Yard

Construction began in January 2018 for this phased renovation at 3 Crescent Drive to provide approximately 72,000 SF of space for multi-disciplinary clinics, including Radiology and Pharmacy. Overall completion is expected in 2019.

Gibbon SPCC Renovations

Work continues in this phased renovation project for SPCC. Completed phases include new men's and women's locker rooms, installation of low-temp sterilizers, and a new central AHU. Current phase involves a new tunnel washer and related renovations in the decontamination area. Work is expected to proceed into the rest of the decontam and prep/pack areas as funding is made available.

JAH 6 East Lab Renovations

Construction start is imminent for this major renovation at Jefferson Alumni Hall to create new vivarium space on the 6th Floor East in what is currently mechanical space. Space will include new housing and procedure suites plus new dedicated HVAC system for the renovated area. Project is phased and is expected to be complete in late 2019.

Pavilion 14th Floor BMT Patient Room Renovation

Renovation of this patient unit has been delayed while a solution for the temporary space for this patient population is implemented, including approval by PADOH. Once construction does begin in the spring on 14 Pavilion, the work will include complete replacement of all finished in patient rooms and corridors. Scope of work includes removal of wallcovering, new flooring, new ceilings and new nurse's work station.

JAH 4 East Lab Renovations 

Construction start is also imminent for this renovation to provide modernized lab space with open bench areas, custom support spaces, and office suites. Completion is expected in later 2018.

Pavilion 12 OB-GYN Patient Room Upgrades

Construction continues to renovate 12 Pavilion to convert nursery space to single patient rooms, eliminating double rooms, improving support spaces and upgrading finishes throughout. Completion is expected in the spring of 2018.

JAH Solis-Cohen Classroom Renovations

Construction is underway to renovate the tiered auditorium to provide educational space for the newly designed JeffMD Program. The space will provide flexible seating for 180 students and the addition of three small group breakout rooms. Completion is expected in June 2018.

Methodist B6 Patient Unit Renovations

Construction is underway to renovate this nursing unit to accommodate the increased need for patient beds fopr Neurology's Headache program. Work includes new finished throughout the space and renovations to provide a classroom/therapy space on the unit. Completion is expected in the spring of 2018.

Projects in Design

MHD 3rd Floor Spine OR & Related Storage

Design continues on a new operating room within the existing at Methodist Hospital to provide an 850 square foot operating room dedicated to Spine program. Construction funding will be requested in FY19. Construction will be completed in February 2018 that relocates the storage currently housed in this space this enabling the OR renovation to occur when funding is approved.

Curtis 2 Classroom Renovations

Design is in progress to renovate fully the small seminar rooms on this ploor to provide 10 breakout spaces in support of the larger classrooms already on the 2nd floor of College and Curtis. Design completion is expected in spring 2018 with construction completion expected in time for the 2018-2019 academic year.

JHN Clinical Lab Relocation/Renovation 

Design is in progress to relocate the clinical lab in JHN to the 1st floor to provide expansion space for their operational needs.

Ronson Hall New Building

Design is in progress to construct a 60,000 sf building attached to the existing Hayward Hall in East Falls. The building will house various health science programs including simulation teaching spaces. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2018 with completion in the fall of 2019.

MHD 3rd Floor Spine OR & Related Storage

Design is in progress to construct a new operating room within an existing operating room suite at Methodist Hospital. Existing operating room storage space will be converted to the new, approximately 850 square foot operating room along with 600 square feet of adjacent storage space remaining.
