The Occupational Therapy Department is Pushing Practice & Education Forward
The Department of Occupational Therapy of the Jefferson College of Health Professions (JCHP) at Thomas Jefferson University is on the rise! After national recognition of being ranked #6 in the Nation by U.S. News & World Report, JCHP Occupational Therapy faculty, students and alumni took to the road to share their knowledge with the Occupational Therapy community. At the 2016 Annual Conference & Expo sponsored by the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc., JCHP Occupational Therapy faculty, alumni, and students presented over 100 papers, posters, panels, and invited sessions.
Additionally, special recognition goes out to the following individuals who were honored during the conference:
Roseann Schaaf, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA, Professor and Chair, JCHP Department of Occupational Therapy, was inducted into the American Occupational Therapy Foundation Academy of Research.
Robert W. Walsh, MS, OTR/L, who graduated in the Class of 2011 received the Gary Kielhofner Emerging Leader Award.
Sandra Shefkind, MS, OTR/L, who is currently pursuing her Occupational Therapy Doctorate, received a Roster of Fellows Award.
