Jefferson and COVID-19
Dear Jefferson Friends,
We’re all grappling with the outbreak of COVID-19. Yet, there’s still so much to be grateful for and plenty that we can do to help each other.
In these trying times, Jefferson’s values and mission are more important than ever. In mobilizing to address the pandemic, Jefferson is doing what we’ve always done: We’re putting people first. We’re thinking differently, bringing together our experienced physicians, scientists, educators, and leaders to weigh possibilities, evaluate choices, and execute action plans. And as always, we’re committed to doing the right thing as we help each other find our way to the other side of this situation.
Everything Jefferson is able to do—and there’s a lot—to care for our community is strengthened by the generosity of benefactors and friends like you. Thank you so much.
Of course, priority number one for Jefferson Health is taking care of the community and protecting our patients. We’re doing everything we can to make available appropriate testing and screening. We’re doing everything possible to protect our frontline care givers, ensuring we have the personal protective equipment for our workforce and the supplies they need to take care of patients. We’re also connecting with partners across the communities we serve, collaborating as we walk the walk together.
While social distancing is right thing to do to flatten the curve of the infection, we’re going to use technology to keep our social connections and bonds tight—calling, texting, and emailing to hold our community close—and doing all we can to make sure everyone gets what they need.
You can find the latest information about COVID-19 and Jefferson’s response here. And keep in mind that JeffConnect, the largest telehealth program in the region, is a great way to get medical questions answered and health concerns addressed by the experts—remotely, without you having to come to Jefferson.
If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email or give me a call at 215-620-4482 (m).
Jefferson is here when you need us. Thank you for being there for us.
