Jefferson Health – New Jersey’s Washington Township Campus is Growing
On May 9, Jefferson Health – New Jersey broke ground for a $205 million expansion at its Washington Township hospital. The expansion will allow the hospital to continue to grow and provide more high-quality care and services to the residents of South Jersey.
“Nobody should have to leave New Jersey for the greatest clinical trials or genomics, or any of the things you read about in the best university hospitals,” said Stephen K. Klasko, MD, MBA, president and CEO of Jefferson Health.
Phase one of the project is scheduled to be completed next spring and includes a new eight-level, 800-spot parking garage that will be free to patients and visitors. Phase two is set to begin next year, and will include a seven-floor patient tower with 60 private rooms, a new main entrance, a two-story lobby with a café, a new hospital cafeteria, and a same-day surgery unit and recovery room.
