In the fight against cancer, science matters. From molecular breakthroughs to innovative therapies, our research uncovers the cures of tomorrow, and saves lives today.

It takes place inside pristine, high-tech rooms, using futuristic instruments and complex mathematical calculations. But at its core, cancer research is all about people. The researchers at the lab bench, the physicians and nurses by the bedside, the patients fighting for their lives, and the donors who are powering new discoveries.

It’s about you.

More than 150 physicians and researchers work at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center. They came to Philadelphia from all over the globe, and their life’s work is to solve the medical mysteries of cancer. They do it for moms, dads, parents, siblings, friends and children. For our hundreds of thousands of patients. For future generations.

They spend countless hours in the lab, preparing samples, waiting for results, completing regulatory paperwork and brainstorming new answers to age-old problems. At the cutting edge of science, their work is unfathomable to most of us. But it is also fundamentally human — learning how our bodies work and offering people longer, healthier lives.

Precision medicine. New treatments. Luminary programs. Healthier, happier survivors. We dream big and build our research programs to match. We are your team to beat cancer. And it’s all made possible by people like you.

You have the power to tip the scales in the fight against cancer. You are the difference. Explore our work, get to know your team. Then join our quest, until every cancer is cured.
