Open Study Space for Students

In order to accommodate the needs of all students on campus SMRR has set aside classroom space that will remain open for students to use as study space. This space cannot be reserved and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Open study space my change from year to year or may be unavailable if there is a class or large event in need of that space. Please check the display screens in the building lobby to ensure you have the correct location.

  • Hamilton Building
    • Mon-Fri
      • 8am-8pm: Students can use any room on the 2nd floor of Hamilton to study as long as there isn’t a class or event booked in the space. Please check availability of these spaces using the EMS Web App.
      • 8pm-12a: Hamilton 212, 213, 214 & 215 will be made available for student study space. All other rooms will be locked by security unless booked by another event.
    • Saturday & Sunday
      • 8am – 12am: Hamilton 212, 213, 214 & 215 will be available for student study space. All other rooms will be locked by security unless booked by another event.
    • Exceptions & Expectations
      • Study space is always subject to availability. The spaces listed above may be booked by another group if space is limited. Please check with the security officer stationed in Hamilton if there is any confusion/concern.
      • Students are expected to act in a professional manner when using space on campus.
      • Students are expected to clean up after themselves by removing all trash from the room when they leave and putting any furniture back to its appropriate arrangement.
