JCN to Offer BSN Programs at Aria Campus in Trevose in January 2018
Jefferson College of Nursing has received approval from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing to offer Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs in Trevose, Bucks County – at the Aria campus. The decision to move from a diploma program to a BSN-degree granting program, announced in July 2016, was the result of a thoughtful and deliberate process involving an integration team that included nursing and nursing education leaders from Aria-Jefferson Health and Jefferson Health.
Two prelicensure BSN programs will be offered at the Aria Campus starting in January 2018:
FACT- 2 Year (Full-Time Accelerated Coursework Track)
A full-time day program completed over 18-months or two academic years. It is for individuals with a non-nursing bachelor’s degree. This program enrolls students with a bachelor’s degree and 26 specific credits prior to starting this track. Students are admitted to the BSN and MSN programs simultaneously.
A program for individuals with no prior nursing education and no bachelor’s degree. It is offered as a full-time day program over 18-months or two academic years. This program enrolls students who have completed their first two years of pre-requisite courses (59 credits) at another institution.
The first class (18-month program) at the Aria Campus starts in January 2018 followed by a second class starting in January 2019 (18-month program). The campus will then offer two admissions cycles per year – in the fall (two academic years) and winter (18 months).
We will be holding information sessions at JCN’s Aria campus for prospective students in the near future.
