Lisa Kozlowski, PhD
Associate Dean, Student & Postdoctoral Affairs
Dr. Lisa Kozlowski is Associate Dean for Student and Postdoctoral Affairs in Jefferson’s College of Biomedical Sciences. In October 2003, she founded the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs at Jefferson and has directed it since. Dr. Kozlowski assists university-wide constituents (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty members, business administrators, human resources) on a daily basis with salary, benefits, grievances, and training grant applications. She sets policies to provide a good postdoctoral training environment. Dr. Kozlowski provides individual career counseling for graduate students and postdocs as well as organizes career seminars, professional development workshops, and postdoc orientations. She has also developed a course for graduate students and postdocs, “Principles of Career Management: Diverse Biomedical Careers.” Dr. Kozlowski is the faculty advisor for the Jefferson Postdoctoral Association, Graduate Student Association and the Jefferson Business and Biotechnology Group. She is the student affairs liaison for the College and represents the College on university-wide student affairs committees. Additionally, she works with Jefferson’s Admissions Office on the recruitment of MS and PhD students.
