The Department of Medicine consists of Internal Medicine physicians specially trained in primary care as well as multiple subspecialties. Our physicians are leaders in clinical care, education and research who dedicate themselves to offering advanced medicine and personal service.



Overview - CTM

At the forefront of academic health care, the Center for Translational Medicine focuses on cutting-edge basic molecular biomedical research and its translation into the most efficient and tailored forms of diagnosis and treatment as well as modes of prevention.

The Division of Cardiology offers diverse, educational programs to medical students, medical residents, cardiology fellows and practicing physicians in a variety of settings.

The Jefferson Digestive Health Institute offers a full range of clinical services in gastroenterology and hepatology.

Our hospitalist faculty plays a leadership role in medical education, quality improvement and innovation at Thomas Jefferson University.

The Division of Internal Medicine is home to more than 40 full-time, part-time and volunteer faculty members.

The Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine is well established and has a tradition of excellence in medical education.

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolic Diseases is home to outstanding endocrinologists, diabetes educators and ancillary services.

“Hematology” and “Cardeza” are virtually synonymous at Sidney Kimmel Medical College.

Our clinical research program enables students the opportunity to learn about state-of-the-art treatments for patients.

The Division of Nephrology has nine full-time faculty, six fellows in a two-year training program and one fellow in a one-year Transplant Fellowship program.

The Division of Rheumatology strives to offer physicians-in-training an opportunity to learn and excel in the art and science of rheumatology.

Dr. Kane is a Jefferson Physician and a Professor at Thomas Jefferson University.
