Jefferson Receives $2.5 Million from the Robert V. Nicoletti Family Trust for New Kidney Transplant Center
Jefferson Health announced a $2.5 million gift from the Robert V. Nicoletti Family Trust to establish a new kidney transplant center with a special focus on living donor transplantation. The Nicoletti Kidney Transplant Center at Jefferson brings together research, education and clinical care in one space.
The festivities celebrating the ribbon-cutting and dedication of the Nicoletti Kidney Transplant Center were a celebration, not only of the Nicoletti family, but also of many benefactors who were inspired by their incredible generosity.
After Bob Nicoletti was given back his life through a transplant at Jefferson—with a kidney donated by his daughter Lori Nicoletti Peruto, Esq.—he wanted to give back too. Together with his family, Bob (now deceased) established the Nicoletti Kidney Transplant Center to increase Jefferson’s capacity for live-donor transplants, to streamline care for patients and donors, and to set a standard that other kidney-transplant centers will be measured by. The generosity of the Nicoletti family inspired many to partner with them to help Jefferson help others.
