The Celgene Fellowship prepares Fellows for success in a health economics and outcomes research career. During their second year, Fellows refine the skills acquired at Thomas Jefferson University by working at Celgene in the biopharmaceutical industry setting. As a member of the US HEOR team at Celgene, the Fellow will develop, execute, and communicate research strategies to help define the real-world value of Celgene's hematology and oncology (HemOnc) and inflammation and immunology (I&I) products.

Ethicon

The Ethicon Fellowship, which takes place in Somerville, NJ or Cincinnati, OH, focuses on medical device-related health economics and outcomes research skills required for surgical decision-making. It prepares Fellows to evaluate the quality, safety, and cost of medical devices in the U.S. marketplace and introduces global issues with respect to health technology assessment and market access. Fellows are well prepared for positions with medical device companies, broad healthcare delivery systems, payer and health technology assessment organizations.

Janssen Scientific Affairs

The goal of the Janssen Fellowship is to prepare future leaders in the field of health economics and outcomes research. Fellows gain practical research experience in both academic and pharmaceutical industry settings. In the second year, Fellows work in the Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC, Health Economics & Outcomes Research Department, located in Titusville, NJ, and also interact with other Janssen departments to learn how evidence to support the value of Janssen products is generated.

Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

The Novartis Fellowship focuses on the assessment of therapeutic interventions and provides experience in using clinical, economic and humanistic data to support the research, development, adoption and utilization of pharmaceutical products. In their second year, Fellows work in Novartis’ Health Economics & Outcomes Research Department, located in New Jersey, and also interact with other Novartis departments to learn how outcomes research generates evidence of the value of Novartis products.  

Teva Pharmaceuticals

The Teva Fellowship provides training and exposure to various aspects of health economics and outcomes research in both the academic and industrial settings. The program is designed to facilitate and empower the Fellow in learning and succeeding in the challenging global healthcare market. During the second year of the Fellowship, Fellows work at Teva's U.S. office in Frazer, Pennsylvania and learn how outcomes research generates evidence of the value of Teva products.
