Advocacy in Action
In the communities served by Jefferson Einstein, food insecurity is a very real concern, impacting the health and well-being of thousands of men, women, and children. The lack of access to enough food and the concern of where the next meal will come from impact both physical and mental health.
Jefferson Einstein, in collaboration with Philabundance, is working to provide those in our community with access to free fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and cheeses. Every Thursday, rain or shine, the Einstein Fresh for All pop-up food market is just one way Jefferson Einstein is helping to combat food insecurity and support the health and well-being of the communities it serves. Launched in March 2018, the program has become a popular Thursday morning destination for many.
