SKMC Reimagine Scholarship Initiative
Training Medical Leaders for Nearly Two Centuries
At Sidney Kimmel Medical College (SKMC), we have a long and proud history of training the doctors of the future.
To date, SKMC has awarded more than 31,000 medical degrees and has more living graduates than any other private medical school in the nation. We are one of the most sought-after medical training destinations in the country, attracting approximately one out of every four U.S. medical school applicants.
By supporting the Reimagine Scholarship Initiative, you immediately strengthen our ability to continue our proud tradition of recruiting students who possess the ability, dedication, and promise to become caring, compassionate, and skilled physicians.
Scholarships Change Lives
In these unprecedented times, scholarship funding is more important and impactful than ever before. That’s why we’ve launched the Reimagine Scholarship Initiative, a comprehensive fundraising campaign focused on helping more students pursue their academic passions at Jefferson, regardless of financial circumstances.
Training the Leaders of Tomorrow
The healthcare landscape is ever-evolving, and it’s past time for medical education to keep pace. Our graduates gain the knowledge and clinical experience to excel today—and the critical thinking skills and creativity to thrive tomorrow. Scholarship support ensures more students have access to the future-focused academic innovations pioneered at our institution.
The Jefferson Difference
The JeffMD curriculum couples didactic instruction with real-world case studies and problem-solving. The Health Design Lab provides students with traditional and modern prototyping technologies to design solutions to healthcare’s big challenges. An emphasis on humanities helps students gain the emotional intelligence and empathy to better connect with their future patients.
Roadmap to a Digital Future
We are building a 21st century model for medical school, melding digital and in-person instruction to create a more flexible, individualized, and dynamic experience for our students. Our educators are embracing emerging technologies and digital learning to surmount the classroom’s physical limitations and expand students’ engagement with the world.
The financial burden of medical school can restrict a student’s career choice to lucrative specialties that help them pay off loans. I have always believed the best gift one can give is the gift of scholarship.
SKMC Scholarship Recipient Meets Her Benefactor
They sat together on the couch, side by side. The octogenarian and the young medical student had just met, but the connection was undeniable. They were grateful for each other, and captivated by each other...
