2024 Giving Tank Winners Announced
Giving Tank is an innovative grant program that empowers frontline healthcare employees to tell us where philanthropic dollars should be allocated within the Jefferson Health community.
Since Giving Tank began in 2022, generous benefactors have helped raise $350,000, supporting programs and services to improve work, benefit patients, and enhance well-being. Respite Room for Emergency Department
Healthcare can be a highly stressful environment due to long hours, increasing demands, as well as other challenges. The Emergency Department of any hospital can be particularly demanding and taxing on those who work there. This grant will be used to create a quiet, calming area for the dedicated staff that cares for Jefferson’s ED patients. The respite room will include a massage chair, diffuser with essential oils, a yoga ball and mat, sound machine, and meditation cushion.
Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) Simulator
The Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) Simulator is an advanced medical training tool that simulates real-life scenarios for transesophageal echocardiography, a crucial diagnostic and monitoring technique in critical care medicine. Funding the purchase of this simulator will enhance the critical care medicine team and fellowship training program by offering a highly realistic environment for medical professionals to practice and perfect their skills in transesophageal echocardiography, thereby improving their diagnostic accuracy and procedural proficiency and enhancing patient safety.
