Providing Compassionate Surgical Care for Children

For more than 15 years, our physicians at Jefferson Facial Plastic have been making a tremendous impact in Belize through their partnership with the World Pediatric Project. They embark on a compassionate journey to provide life-changing surgeries for children with cleft lips and other congenital deformities who have been unable to access medical care. Each year, they see approximately 100 children and perform 40 surgeries.

Because of the immense financial burdens that these families face, all of these services are without charge; they are made possible by the generous contributions of our donors and the CHANCE fund at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
