Dr. Harvey Guttmann has been a pillar of the Abington community for over 35 years. Under his leadership as Chief of Gastroenterology, Jefferson Abington Hospital has emerged as a sought-after referral center for GI care throughout Montgomery County and beyond.

Since Dr. Guttmann’s arrival at Jefferson Abington Hospital in 1984, the department has grown considerably, fueling higher patient volumes, increasingly complex procedures, and an overwhelming need to modernize the GI Procedure Suite, which has remained largely unchanged since the 1980s.

To accommodate the needs of our patients and providers, support the future complexity of GI care, and pay tribute to a true leader in the field, we are launching a $2 million fundraising campaign to establish the Dr. Harvey Guttmann GI Procedure Suite at Jefferson Abington Hospital.
