For too long, medical research has largely been fragmented—departments and divisions separated by more than walls. At Jefferson, we believe the best way to make meaningful progress in understanding and treating complex human diseases is to break down these traditional research silos. That’s why we’ve focused our efforts on creating and supporting “programmatic” teams of investigators with distinct, but complementary expertise in many essential scientific domains. This collaborative model allows for several brilliant minds to work together in concert, acquiring new insights to unlock novel treatments more efficiently and effectively than ever before.
