About the President’s Club
Established in 1972 by Dr. Peter Herbut, president of Thomas Jefferson University, the President's Club recognizes philanthropic leaders who understand the difference Jefferson makes: lives made whole again through healing; careers and professions beyond the ordinary; discoveries that make all the difference in the world.
By giving $2,500 or more each year, members of the President's Club fuel Jefferson's mission to improve lives. President's Club gifts add up to millions of dollars in support of important Jefferson priorities across our healthcare system, research centers, and University.
As a President's Club donor, your generosity supports patients, scholars, student-athletes, physicians, faculty, and researchers — all of whom make up the Jefferson community of which you are an integral part. Your support ensures continued excellence in patient care, scientific research, and medical education for which Jefferson has been known for more than 200 years.

Your Philanthropy in Action
As a President’s Club donor, you help drive progress across Jefferson. Here are just a few ways your philanthropy could make a difference.
Support at this level could provide:
- Books, supplies, and technology fees for a first-year Sidney Kimmel Medical College student
- Semester meal plans for two University students
- Scholarship support for an online undergraduate course
- Assistive technologies for persons living with disabilities after they are discharged from hospital rehabilitation
Support at this level could provide:
- Housing costs for an academic year and a semester meal plan for a student
- Six months’ rent for a University studentÂ
- Funding for up to 10 community health fairs and emergency medical services training eventsÂ
- Assistance for the Dean’s Innovation Fund, which supports innovative research projects and new opportunities
Support at this level could provide:
- Room, board, and transportation for a first-year Sidney Kimmel Medical College student
- Funding for the purchase of critical in-unit defibrillators for a Mobile Stroke Unit
- Funding for a current-use scholarship at Thomas Jefferson University
