Until Every Cancer Is Cured
In the fight against cancer, science matters. From molecular breakthroughs to innovative therapies, research uncovers the cures of tomorrow and saves lives today.
At Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, science is the foundation of everything we do. From the bench to the bedside, our dedicated faculty of more than 150 physicians and researchers works tirelessly to solve the medical mysteries of cancer. Path-breaking studies, new treatments, and healthier, happier survivors—we dream big and build our research programs to match.
We are the team to beat cancer. And it’s all made possible by benefactors like you, whose vision, leadership, and generosity provide the catalyst we need to redefine the future of cancer care.
Innovative Design With Patients in Mind
“I was blown away when I got a chance to see the Asplundh Cancer Pavilion,” says Meredith Tarditi, a choriocarcinoma cancer survivor and former Abington Health patient. “I could not believe how beautiful it is, how well-designed it is, how intentional.”
Research
Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center is home to visionary physicians and scientists who are dogged in their pursuit of cutting-edge research that has the potential to fundamentally transform our understanding and treatment of cancer. Too often, however, these proof-of-concept studies go unfunded through traditional government and industry sources.
In an era of stagnant federal funding for science programs and medical research, the need for philanthropic support has never been more acute. Your generosity provides the support necessary to increase the number of high-impact studies performed at Jefferson, seed bold new research projects, boost collaborations between the center and other institutions, and attract vital grants from government, foundation, and industry sources.
When I got to Jefferson’s Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, they had a team of doctors who were willing to work with me. The care and concern that they showed, it was just phenomenal to me.
